Kendrick Lamar’s unstoppable 2025 momentum continued this week with the announcement that he has been named a brand ambassador for Chanel. His partnership with the iconic French fashion house kicks off with the Spring 2025 eyewear campaign, photographed by Karim Sadli.
In the campaign, Lamar appears alongside stars like Lupita Nyong’o, Margaret Qualley, and Nana Komatsu. The rapper is prominently featured wearing a sleek pair of black sunglasses from the new collection, which are elegantly detailed with silver crystal beads along the sides.
Speaking about the collaboration, Lamar shared his admiration for the brand’s heritage. “Chanel has a timeless legacy, and that is always something I can get behind,” he said. He also acknowledged Chanel’s focus on women’s fashion, adding, “Since they don’t make clothes for men, I knew it would have to be glasses.”
By joining Chanel, Lamar becomes part of a select group of male ambassadors for the luxury brand, following in the footsteps of figures like Timothée Chalamet, G-Dragon, and Pharrell Williams.
The timing of the announcement is particularly fitting, as Lamar recently kicked off his Grand National Tour alongside SZA this past Saturday, further cementing his presence at the forefront of both music and fashion in 2025.
