Chappell Roan’s rise to pop stardom has brought her both musical acclaim and recognition as a fashion icon. Known for her daring and thematic style choices, Roan has made headlines from her Statue of Liberty-inspired look at Gov Ball to her porcelain doll-inspired gown at Valentino’s Paris show.
This spring, Roan made her debut at Paris Fashion Week, sitting front row at some of the top fashion houses, including Alexander McQueen, on March 8, 2025. At the event, one of the brand’s striking, structured pieces caught her eye — and she was soon seen wearing a freshly-unveiled gown at The Daily Front Row’s Fashion Awards in Los Angeles.
On April 24, Roan attended the event at the Beverly Hills Hotel to celebrate significant achievements in the fashion world. The pop star stunned on the red carpet in a Victorian-style, structured McQueen dress from the Fall/Winter 2025-2026 collection.
The high-neck gown featured folds of fabric that created a protective mask effect around Roan’s lower face, while the floral-patterned material was intricately sewn to form a peplum silhouette.
For her hair and makeup, Roan embraced a marionette-inspired look, with dark, dramatic eyeliner, thin painted-on eyebrows, and bright pink cheeks. Her long, curly hair cascaded in waves, adding to the striking effect.
Roan’s interpretation of the runway outfit was nearly identical, with one exception — her footwear. Instead of the silver boots showcased during the McQueen show, Roan paired the look with black heels and matching patterned tights.
While Roan’s striking appearance at the awards show was a celebration of fashion, it also had a personal touch. The pop star was there to honor her stylist, Genesis Webb, by presenting her with the Music Stylist of the Year award. Roan and Webb shared their mutual admiration for designer Betsey Johnson, who was receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award that evening. The trio posed together on the red carpet, celebrating their shared love for fashion.
