Jason Kelce is stepping up as the fashion enthusiast of the family, making big moves with his apparel brand, Underdog.
On Thursday, April 24, the former Philadelphia Eagles player shared exciting updates about his brand. In an interview with The New York Times, Jason revealed that Underdog will now feature collections of sweatshirts and T-shirts produced entirely in the United States.
Seemingly throwing some playful shade at his brother Travis Kelce’s high-end fashion choices, Jason made it clear that his brand’s focus would be far from luxury. “I don’t want to offend anybody, I never understood the reason that somebody would want to wear Gucci or some of these high-end brands,” he explained.
Known for his laid-back style, including a love for flip-flops, the 37-year-old stated, “It’s never appealed to me, I would much rather wear something that symbolized a blue-collar worker as opposed to a suit.”
Taking to Instagram, Jason gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at Underdog’s production process, sharing a video from the factory and warehouse. His post highlighted the importance of supporting local production and was captioned: “Every piece is made entirely in the USA, supporting the people and places that define the underdog spirit.”
The latest collection, in collaboration with San Francisco-based American Giant, will feature items crafted from cotton grown in North Carolina, with production completed in California.
Launched in 2022, Underdog originally focused on Philadelphia Eagles merchandise, catering to the team’s dedicated fanbase. However, since Jason’s retirement from the NFL in 2024, the brand has undergone significant redesigns, marking a new chapter with its emphasis on local, blue-collar-inspired fashion.
