A historic milestone has been achieved in the Indian fashion industry as Harshit Dhingaun, Founder of Delhi Fashion Club, officially secured exclusive trademark rights for “DFC Delhi Fashion Week.” After over a decade-long journey, the trademark, filed during the pandemic in 2020 and granted in 2025, marks a pivotal moment in the evolution of Indian fashion. Registered under application number 4733438 in Class 41 (event organizing and entertainment services), this victory is a testament to Harshit’s relentless vision and perseverance.

During the global standstill caused by COVID-19, Harshit foresaw an opportunity to rejuvenate the fashion industry. With a focus on supporting artisans, promoting handloom, and providing a platform for emerging designers, he laid the foundation for what would ultimately become a transformative success.

“We faced significant challenges, including a tough legal battle against those attempting to misuse the name. But in the end, authenticity and truth prevailed,” Harshit stated.

With over 17 years of experience spanning fashion and entertainment, Harshit Dhingaun has become a multifaceted figure in the industry. His career began as a fashion model and reality TV personality on Channel V and MTV, before expanding into roles as a popular radio jockey (RJ), Bollywood host/VJ, and YouTuber known as the VOY (Voice of Youth), amassing a social media following of over 300k. His journey continues to inspire both the youth and fashion enthusiasts across the nation.

Reflecting on his earlier career, Harshit shared, “For years, I attended and contributed creatively to FDCI India Fashion Week. As we develop Delhi Fashion Week, we aim to meet those same high standards and, ideally, collaborate with FDCI in the future to further enrich Indian fashion.”

With the acquisition of the “Delhi Fashion Week” rights, Harshit Dhingaun and Delhi Fashion Club are set to establish a new fashion authority in the young fashion scene of Delhi, which continues to seek revival and growth. As the brand moves forward, it will offer new opportunities for designers while boosting the overall fashion ecosystem in the city.

In December 2025, Delhi Fashion Club will celebrate its 10th anniversary, and Harshit plans to commemorate the occasion with a grand edition of Delhi Fashion Week.

Looking ahead, Harshit envisions potential collaborations with prestigious global fashion events, such as London Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week, with the goal of positioning Delhi and India at the forefront of the international fashion landscape.

From now on, any unauthorized use of the “Delhi Fashion Week” name, whether on social media platforms like Instagram, in events, or on promotional materials, will be deemed a violation of the registered trademark and subject to strict legal action. The brand is exclusively owned by Harshit Dhingaun and Delhi Fashion Club.
