Vivian Jenna Wilson, the 21-year-old TikTok personality and LGBTQ+ activist, has stepped into the fashion spotlight with her first professional modeling campaign. Celebrating five years since coming out as transgender, Wilson took to Instagram over the weekend to share photos from her debut shoot with WILDFANG, a queer and gender-inclusive fashion brand.
The standout feature of the shoot was her striking 40-foot-long blonde braid, which spelled out her first name. Paired with black sunglasses, Wilson exuded high-fashion energy as she modeled various looks from the brand’s Empower Collection.
One outfit featured oversized black shorts and a matching waistcoat layered over a patterned shirt. Another ensemble included a coordinated floral suit with a matching tie. Her final look was a statement piece: a white T-shirt reading “Existing shouldn’t be revolutionary,” which she co-designed. This shirt is part of a fundraising initiative, with proceeds going to The Trevor Project—a non-profit focused on suicide prevention among LGBTQ+ youth.
Wilson captioned her Instagram post: “Going from wearing @wearewildfang to modelling for them✨,” adding humorously, “Unrelated but now I have about 40 feet of blonde kanekalon that I don’t know what to do with.”
In an interview with People, she shared her excitement over seeing the final result: “I saw myself in the mirror, and I was kind of like, ‘Oh, s**t. I’m gorgeous.’” She added that the T-shirt’s message resonated with her deeply, saying, “It was just like, ‘Oh, okay, this is perfect. Love it. Let’s just go with that.’”
Wilson has also hinted at further exploring her creative interests. In May, she expressed her desire to take her passion for drag to the next level, suggesting she might even develop her own drag persona.
Beyond modeling, Wilson has gained attention for her outspoken views on her estranged father, billionaire Elon Musk. In July 2024, Musk made controversial remarks online, claiming she had been “killed [by the] woke mind virus.” In response, Wilson posted defiantly: “Pretty good for a dead b***h.”
The tension escalated further in August 2024, when she criticized Walter Isaacson’s biography of Musk. On Threads—Meta’s platform rivaling X (formerly Twitter)—Wilson accused the book of portraying her as a villainous backstory meant to excuse Musk’s behavior.
“Elon was your darling Tony Stark apartheid-American hero with a semi-tragic backstory who was saving the world and you were too f**king cowardly to write anything other than a sad excuse for a puff-piece,” she wrote. “To further this goal, you portrayed me in a light that is genuinely defamatory and I’m not going to mince my words.”
Despite the controversy, Vivian Jenna Wilson’s modeling debut has been widely praised, signaling a bold and creative new chapter in her public journey as an advocate, artist, and now fashion model.
