The Aquafina Vietnam International Fashion Week Spring–Summer 2025 (AVIFW 2025) is set to take center stage in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, from June 5 to 8. This year’s event promises a compelling blend of innovation, cultural identity, and eco-conscious fashion, further establishing Vietnam’s growing influence on the global fashion stage.
With the theme “Pure Style Shines – Identity Creates Style,” the 19th edition of Vietnam’s premier fashion event is dedicated to celebrating traditional roots while embracing modern creativity and sustainability. Organizers emphasize that AVIFW 2025 will honor the unique cultural essence of Vietnamese fashion while pushing the boundaries of environmentally responsible design.
This season’s event seeks to encourage designers to incorporate sustainable materials, preserve traditional handcraftsmanship, and integrate cutting-edge innovations. The long-term vision, according to organizers, is to transition Vietnam from a manufacturing hub into a globally recognized fashion powerhouse.
AVIFW 2025 will feature standout collections from 16 acclaimed Vietnamese and international designers and fashion houses. Local talents such as Le Thanh Hoa, Vu Viet Ha, Dang Trong Minh Chau, Adrian Anh Tuan, Ivan Tran, and Cao Minh Tien will share the spotlight with renowned international names, including Julien Fournié from France, Alberto Zambelli from Italy, Frederick Lee from Singapore, Behati from Malaysia, and Moral from Indonesia.
The showcased designs will shine a spotlight on sustainability, showcasing eco-conscious materials and techniques such as traditional Vietnamese weaving and innovative textile technologies.
The fashion week will open with Le Thanh Hoa’s “The Light of Water,” a collection inspired by the purity and flow of water, and will close with Vu Viet Ha’s “Ma Dao,” which pays tribute to Vietnam’s brocade artistry and ethnic traditions. French couturier Julien Fournié will also present his striking haute couture line, “First Circus,” known for its theatrical flair.
Many designers are incorporating sustainable materials like lotus silk, oyster shell fabric, and bamboo fibre, reflecting a growing commitment to eco-friendly practices within the industry.
A major technological innovation at this year’s event is the debut of augmented reality (AR) on the red carpet, allowing attendees to interact dynamically with fashion designs, offering a futuristic glimpse into fashion presentation.
AVIFW 2025 will also host seminars focused on the future of luxury branding in Vietnam. These discussions will feature international experts and open new pathways for collaboration in the textile and fashion sectors, supporting Vietnam’s ambition to become a central player in the global luxury market.
With a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and cultural expression, AVIFW 2025 promises to be a milestone moment for Vietnam’s fashion industry on the international stage.
