The grand finale of the Third International Fashion Week Ak Buura—2025 took place at the ethnographic complex Alymbek Datka in Osh, celebrating modern interpretations of ethnic fashion. According to the local administration, the event highlighted a vibrant fusion of tradition and contemporary design.
Designers from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan showcased their creations, each collection capturing the deep cultural roots of Central Asia through intricate fabric choices, ornamental details, and distinctive silhouettes.
“Ethnic fashion is not just about garments. It is a living history, woven into every embroidery, every pattern, and every stitch. It revives age-old traditions, national values, and the essence of folk craftsmanship,” the organizers emphasized.
The collections by designers from Kazakhstan stood out, alongside the work of renowned Kyrgyz fashion designer Asylzhan Kambarova, who drew significant attention from the audience for her unique take on heritage-inspired fashion.
The event concluded with a captivating performance by popular singer Gulzada Ryskulova, marking a celebratory end to a week of cultural expression and fashion innovation.
