British designer menswear brand Luke 1977 has announced the upcoming release of an exclusive Street Fighter-themed collection, set to officially launch on Wednesday, May 28. Fans can already pre-order items from the range on the brand’s official website, with availability in selected retail stores to follow shortly after.
The limited-edition collection includes five t-shirts and two hoodies, all featuring iconic Street Fighter characters such as Ryu and Akuma. This collaboration bridges fashion and gaming, paying homage to the cultural legacy of the legendary video game franchise.
In a press release, Luke 1977 explained the inspiration behind the collaboration:
“Luke 1977 have always had huge respect and drawn inspiration from Japanese culture, while gaming is a key pillar for the brand, so the collaboration made perfect sense. The range appeals to a broad spectrum, from retro nostalgia to new gamers of today. It also brings the wider community together, to share stories of fashion and gaming.”

To showcase the new collection, Luke 1977 teamed up with professional boxer and model Mykey Broughton for a promotional photo shoot at NQ64, a gaming bar known for its vibrant retro aesthetic. The shoot features Broughton modeling the range among vintage arcade machines, including the iconic Street Fighter II: Champion Edition cabinet.
The collaboration taps into the nostalgic appeal of one of gaming’s most beloved franchises while offering a stylish twist for modern menswear enthusiasts.
