California-based fashion brand Frame has joined forces with renowned auction house Sotheby’s to launch a limited-edition collection that merges modern style with classic heritage. The collaboration, released on June 4, introduces a 31-piece capsule featuring clothing and accessories for women, men, and unisex shoppers.
The collection is currently available at frame-store.com and includes items such as baseball caps, graphic t-shirts, cotton pajama sets, cashmere sweaters, blazers, and Oxford shirts. Drawing inspiration from 1980s New York, the designs blend Upper East Side sophistication with relaxed fashion sensibilities. Key motifs include navy blazers, argyle vests, and chunky cable knits.
One notable piece, the women’s argyle vest, is made from 100-percent cashmere and features the word “Sotheby’s” embroidered on the back.
Frame co-founder Erik Torstensson commented on the partnership, stating that the collaboration aligns with Frame’s ongoing mission to work with esteemed brands. “As a long-time fan and client of Sotheby’s, it was exciting to envision how apparel could bring Sotheby’s rich culture to a new, broader audience,” he said.
Kristina O’Neill, Head of Media and Editor-in-Chief of Sotheby’s Magazine, added that the project supports Sotheby’s Media’s broader goal of engaging with cultural conversations and forming unique collaborations. “With Frame, we’re blending the worlds of fashion and fine art, creating something truly special for our clients and theirs,” she said. “It’s about offering a tangible connection to Sotheby’s heritage—one that is both modern and timeless.”
The Frame x Sotheby’s collection is available online, in Frame’s 16 brick-and-mortar locations, and at Sotheby’s galleries in New York, London, Paris, and Hong Kong. Prices range from $43 to $1,298. Due to high demand, many pieces are expected to sell out quickly.
