Simone Biles may have mastered flawless Olympic routines, but finding clothes that fit? That’s proving far more difficult.
The 28-year-old gymnastics legend recently called out Kylie Jenner’s fashion line over the sizing of a blazer that clearly wasn’t designed with petite frames in mind. Standing at just 4 feet 8 inches, Biles shared a photo on her Instagram Stories wearing a merlot-colored faux-leather blazer from the Khy by Kylie Jenner collection—and the fit was comically oversized.
The jacket, designed to be boxy and ultra-oversized, nearly swallowed Biles, reaching down to her knees with sleeves that completely covered her hands. Adding humor to her frustration, she captioned the post: “Ms. Kylie Jenner this is a crime!!!!!!” with a string of laughing emojis.
“This is not an XXS/XS,” she added, clearly unimpressed with how far off the sizing was.
Biles followed up with another post comparing her look to an exaggerated photo of model Gigi Hadid in an oversized Vetements x Tommy Hilfiger hoodie, adding the comment, “This is me on the last slide. SICK.”
Though the $138 blazer is marketed online as deliberately oversized and available in sizes XXS to 4X, it still didn’t hit the mark for Biles.
Despite the sizing mishap, Biles remains a fashion favorite known for taking risks with textures and silhouettes. Her recent fashion adventures have sparked conversation—including a standout appearance at the Met Gala with her husband, NFL star Jonathan Owens. The couple’s eye-catching outfits divided fans, as Biles wore a custom blue mini dress with a dramatic train and white collar, while Owens went with an all-white suit, fur cape, and black cane to match the night’s “Superfine” theme.
The Met Gala theme, titled “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” honored Black menswear and the cultural evolution of dandyism—drawing inspiration from Monica L. Miller’s influential book “Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity.”
Biles, no stranger to leather blazers, wore a sleek black version in December 2024 for her appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show. She looked chic arriving at NBC Studios in an all-black outfit, including a leather blazer and skirt. She completed the look with a black fuzzy bucket hat and silver accessories.
The gymnast also recently showed off her sporty side by modeling a bikini from Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS line. In a mirror selfie, she wore a red and white-trimmed bikini top featuring the US Olympic Committee logo—part of SKIMS’ Olympic-themed collection.
Biles has been on the move beyond the fashion world too. According to Sportskeeda, she recently traveled to Hong Kong to speak at UBS’ 28th Asian Investment Conference. While there, she addressed 600 young athletes from various local sports organizations, including gymnastics clubs.
As always, Biles turned the trip into a runway, donning stylish pieces like a red Athleta outfit, proving once again that she blends athletic excellence with fashion flair—even if some items, like Kylie Jenner’s blazer, don’t quite fit the bill.
