Matthew M. Williams, the celebrated designer behind 1017 ALYX 9SM and former creative director at Givenchy, is preparing to unveil his new namesake clothing brand during Paris Men’s Fashion Week. Following his departure from the French fashion house in early 2024, Williams is returning to his independent roots with a fresh vision for contemporary menswear.
The Paris Men’s Fashion Week for the Spring/Summer 2026 season will run from June 24 to June 29, 2025. As the final and most prestigious event in the menswear calendar, it offers an ideal stage for Williams to make his comeback. Although the specific timing and venue of his presentation have yet to be announced, WWD reports that the debut will take place at the Seiya Nakamura showroom in Paris.
At this venue, Williams will present both men’s and women’s collections under his own label, offering a glimpse into his signature product-focused design approach. His new line will be available for purchase during Fashion Week. Alongside Williams, the showroom will also feature collections from Craig Green, Taiga Takahashi, Arpa Studio, Amomento, Song for the Mute, Khoki, and Edward Cuming.
Known for his fusion of utilitarian design, industrial details, and high-concept streetwear, Williams gained acclaim at Givenchy for blending traditional tailoring with a modern, urban aesthetic. Industry observers expect his namesake label to build on these themes, delivering well-crafted pieces that reflect his distinct take on modern masculinity and style.
With anticipation building, Williams’ return to the spotlight is poised to be a major moment on the global fashion calendar.
