Copenhagen Fashion Week SS26 Lineup Unveiled, Celebrating Innovation, Sustainability, and a Decade of Cecilie Bahnsen

Copenhagen Fashion Week has officially announced its full roster of 44 brands for the Spring/Summer 2026 season, scheduled to run from August 4 to 8, 2025. The schedule features a dynamic blend of established Nordic labels, international fashion houses, and rising talents, reinforcing the event’s increasing significance on the global fashion stage.

This season, designer Anne Sofie Madsen joins the CPHFW NEWTALENT programme, alongside returning talents Berner Kühl and Bonnetje. Renowned labels such as Henrik Vibskov, Sunflower, and Marimekko are set to return, while several fresh names will also debut, enriching the four-day program with a diverse mix of voices. According to organizers, the SS26 lineup underscores Copenhagen’s expanding global influence within the international fashion calendar.

Highlighting the season is the inclusion of IAMISIGO, the recipient of the 2025 Zalando Visionary Award. The brand will showcase its latest collection with a runway presentation supported by Zalando. The award, which includes a €50,000 grant and production assistance, is part of Zalando’s broader mission to support designers who “challenge conventions and inspire progress in the fashion industry.”

In line with Copenhagen Fashion Week’s ongoing commitment to responsible fashion, all participating brands will pilot a revised Sustainability Requirements framework, with full implementation scheduled for January 2026.

“I’m proud to unveil the brand lineup for SS26, which once again affirms Copenhagen Fashion Week’s position as a leading global fashion week,” said Cecilie Thorsmark, CEO of Copenhagen Fashion Week. “Despite the headwinds facing our industry, it’s both meaningful and encouraging to see growing participation and support — a clear reminder of how vital a platform like this becomes in challenging times.”

A key highlight of SS26 will be the introduction of a new Guest Slot, which has been awarded to celebrated designer Cecilie Bahnsen. Bahnsen previously showed at Copenhagen Fashion Week between 2017 and 2020 before transitioning to the Paris Fashion Week calendar. Her return marks the ten-year anniversary of her brand.

“We’re very excited to be celebrating our 10-year anniversary at Copenhagen Fashion Week this August and feel honoured to be the first recipient of the guest slot,” Bahnsen said. “Copenhagen is where I found my voice as an independent designer, created our universe, and was given the support to grow what Cecilie Bahnsen is today. The show will stand as a celebration of the brand’s evolution and growth, showcasing how we have moved forward whilst honouring our roots and the city of Copenhagen as an essential part of our story.”

Thorsmark echoed the sentiment, stating, “It felt only natural that the inaugural CPHFW Guest Slot for SS26 would be launched with Cecilie Bahnsen — a brand that, in the ten years since its inception, has come to represent an incredible success story. The SS26 season is shaping up to be our most impactful edition to date, and the addition of Cecilie Bahnsen will only underline this.”

The CPHFW NEWTALENT initiative will also spotlight three emerging labels — Kettel Atelier, Stem, and Taus — as its “One to Watch” selections. These brands will receive mentorship, financial backing, and industry exposure through curated presentations during the event.

Other participating names in the SS26 edition include 66°North, Filippa K, Rotate, The Garment, OpéraSport, Deadwood, and the Royal Danish Academy, among others.
