Roaring Fashions, a luxury men’s clothing company in East Greenwich, has officially expanded its studio-style showroom into a full retail storefront located in the heart of downtown.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly converted store at 36 Main St. took place on Thursday, with a crowd that included East Greenwich Chamber of Commerce members, clients, family, friends, local residents, and volunteers from the Main Street Association.
Roaring Fashions’ new location, “Studio On Main,” now shares a 1,400-square-foot space with three other wedding and special event businesses: PDR Events, New England Invitations, and Bridal Finery.
Founded in 2020, Roaring Fashions is a custom suit and fine clothing business run by East Greenwich resident Cheryl Petteruti. Petteruti, the only female men’s clothier in Rhode Island, started her business after a career shift at the age of 50. “As a newly divorced mother of five, I began working part-time as a home-based stylist for men’s clothing,” Petteruti explained. “Over the next 10 years, I built the business into a full-time enterprise, curating personalized, custom wardrobes for discerning clients.”
The store offers a wide range of luxury clothing brands, including Alan Paine, Armin Oehler, BARMAS, Daniel Fiesoli, ETERNA, Robert Comstock, Ruth Graves, Whaler Knits, Waterville, w.kleinberg, and many others.
“We offer something for every man—whether it’s professional, evening, casual, smart casual, wedding, or athleisure wear,” Petteruti added. “We also provide custom wedding trousseaus for the groom and wedding party, ensuring they are perfectly dressed from the rehearsal dinner to the honeymoon. With Father’s Day around the corner, a one-hour fashion consultation would make a great gift for that special man in your life.”
The new storefront’s hours are 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekends, with additional appointments available upon request.
